VOTE FOR PRO-LIFE CANDIDATES
Pro-life advocates, like Corpus Christi Right to Life, are often rebuked because we vote on the basic issue—Life. We are criticized for supporting or rejecting a candidate based on his or her commitment to defend innocent human life. This position, however, is defensible in several ways.
First, we believe in the sanctity of all innocent human life from fertilization to natural death. In addition to caring for pregnant women before and after childbirth, we address not only abortion, but also euthanasia, and all destruction of early human life by chemicals and embryonic stem cell research.
Second, our country was based upon the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Life is the first and foremost of these rights and is certainly necessary in order for one to enjoy any other rights. As the most basic and most essential of rights, it must be defended most vigorously.
Third, single-issue voting has always been the means of our successful form of government: "No taxation without representation," "Abolition of slavery," "Women’s right to vote," "Civil Rights." Failure to support any of these single issues was reason enough not to support a candidate. This is also true with the LIFE issue, which is more valuable than all other rights and issues.
Fourth, If you would not agree with legalized slavery, or denial of civil rights, how could you vote for any candidate who supports and votes for legalized murder of innocent, helpless human children?
The Catholic Church has always insisted that "abortion and infanticide are Unspeakable crimes" Pope John Paul II (EV,62). "With regard to any law permitting abortion, the Church teaches that it is "never licit to obey it, or to take part in a pro-paganda campaign in favor of such a law, or to vote for it" Pope John Paul II (EV, 73)
"Above all, the common outcry which is justly made on behalf of human rights—for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture—is false and illusory if the RIGHT TO LIFE, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition of all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination." Living the Gospel of Life, U.S. Bishops 1998.
VOTE WITH A WELL--FORMED CONSCIENCE AND FOR CANDIDATES WHO WILL HONOR THEIR OATH OF OFFICE TO PROTECT THE RIGHT TO LIFE OF ALL INNOCENT HUMANS.

If a candidate has no voting record or does not give his position on the right to life, then voters can only rely on the candidate’s political party policy. The Democrat policy supports legalized abortion of unborn children; Republican policy supports the right to life of every innocent human being from conception to natural death; and the Libertarian policy does not support legislation to prohibit legalized abortion.
